This role lies with Genpact IT -Compute Management Division. You will be responsible for supporting corporate Compute operations 24X7 for IT. You will be working actively on the operational issues along with internal / external partners to automate things and help recover the systems failure (proactive/reactive). You will have tremendous opportunities learn in one of the biggest Compute group in the industry.
We are seeking a talented and motivated AWS Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an AWS Cloud Engineer at our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions on the AWS platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure cloud services.
Responsibilities
• Relevant experience in cloud technologies, with overall IT operations delivery experience.
• Good experience in handling a team. Must have handled a team of atleast 2+ resources.
• Well versed with ITIL terminology for Incident, Change, Problem Management.
• Experience in creating Cloud based infrastructure as per business requirements and within the Organization framework.
• Supporting operating system versions for various flavors of Windows (Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019). & Linux (RHEL/Oracle/Ubuntu).
• Server Hardening/Patching process.
• Experience in creating infrastructure within secure VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) of Cloud
• Experience in creating and maintaining scripts to provision/de-provision instances required for workloads.
• Maintain organizational security compliances like passwords, key rotation policies
• Should have experience of handling various Audit and Compliance activities like HIPPA, PCI, SOX etc
• Create & maintain various types of alerts that monitor systems health and report any issues to SysOps team to resolve and/or escalate to the right teams
• Cost savings/Cost Optimization is a vital activity, lifecycle management from start/stop instances to ensuring adherence to regular checks on what all can be optimized.
• Collaborate and work with DEV team to deploy newer version patches/fixes for vulnerabilities for cloud servers
• Managing full Cloud Lifecycle, Provisioning, Automation and Security.
• Migrating existing on-premises applications to cloud.
• Setting up and administering multi-tier workload environments
• Configure and fine-tune cloud infrastructure systems (account/regions/zones etc.)
• Perform cloud platform level software upgrades
• Develop scripts for automating Cloud/server tasks
• Establish and improve metrics, monitor cloud utilization of resources using CloudWatch
• Perform on premise resources backup by utilizing Cloud Services
• Deploy automation infrastructure by utilizing Cloud Formation techniques
• Optimize resources and work on resource tagging to share the cost and plan for reporting.
• Create and manage VPC, Bastion hosts.
• Communicate and work with network team to finalize network connection to cloud VPC’s.
• Monitor availability and performance
• Monitor effectively, billing and cost optimization strategies.
• Manage disaster recovery and create backups.
• Manage the Capacity planning for Cloud components by working with Monitoring tools.
• Amazon Web Services
• VPC, EC2, ELB, EBS, S3, EFS, FSX, AWS Backup, Direct Connect, API Gateway, DMS, TGW, Redshift, Route 53, Lambda, VPN, RDS, IAM, Control Tower, AWS Organizations, SCP, Config, EKS, ECS, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudTrail, ACM, WAF, SES, CloudWatch, Control tower etc.
• Awareness of Cloud security best practices
• IAC – Terraform
• Good command on Linux and Windows operating system
• Good to have Industry certifications like AWS SysOps, Azure 104, RHCE.
• Good command over Linux shell command
• Good command over Windows PowerShell
• Scripting knowledge of at least one of the following:
• JSON
• Bash
• Python
• Perl
Qualifications we seek in you!

• Open to work in 24*7 rotational shifts including early morning and Night shifts
