- Analyze and improve performance of advanced algorithms on large-scale datasets and cutting-edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications.
- Implement prototypes of scalable systems in AI applications.
- Collaborate closely with team members on developing systems from prototyping to production level.
- Develop solutions for real world, large-scale problems.
MSR India conducts research in a wide range of areas and Internships are available in all of them. While the internships are offered year round, a majority of them begin in the summer. In the application process, we will try to find the opportunity that best aligns with your interests. During the internship, students are paired with mentors and expected to collaborate with other interns and researchers, present findings, and contribute to the vibrant life of the community. All internships are paid and we will help with visa applications where needed.

As an intern in Research Sciences at Microsoft, you’ll collaborate with mentors and fellow interns, engaging in diverse research areas led by MSR India. RESPONSIBILITIES IN MACHINE LEARNING INTERNSHIP FOR STUDENTS AT MICROSOFT:
- Analyze and enhance the performance of advanced algorithms on large-scale datasets.
- Contribute to cutting-edge research in machine intelligence and machine learning applications.
- Implement prototypes of scalable systems in AI applications.
- Work collaboratively with team members throughout the entire development lifecycle, from initial prototyping to production-level implementation.
- Innovate and engineer solutions for real-world challenges at a large scale.
